Little Seouls was started by 2 sisters, Susanna and Esther back in July 2008 after the adoption of Susanna's daughter from Korea. Here is the cutie pie (picture above) who started Little Seouls! Through her involvement in the adoption community, Susanna realized many adoptive families had very little access to Korean children's goods. A little light bulb went on in her head which eventually led to the birth of Little Seouls.
Susanna and Esther were both born in the US by 1st generation Korean American parents. Growing up, they learned the language and customs through their parents. Now that they themselves are parents, they realized how much their culture and language will be lost in their own children since they rarely speak to them in Korean. After researching for items for their own children, they too realized how hard it was to find things that taught the Korean language and culture. As 2nd generation Korean Americans parents raising third generation Korean American children, Susanna and Esther hope their children will embrace their Korean heritage with pride and understanding.
